Monk McQueen's Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar is a great place to go for a group dinner. It can be expensive, but if you have no monetary worries, you will enjoy your time there. It offers a fabulous view of Yaletown Marina, Coastal Mountains, and the rest of False Creek.

Guide Review - Monk McQueens Fresh Seafood and Oyster Bar
Personally, I think Monk McQueen's, (known to local Vancouverites as 'Monk's) is a great dining experience. I was thrilled when I was able to try their signature dish, the Monk's Shellfish Platter, with a few friends. I found the menu quite expensive, but with the fresh seafood, it is expected. There is also an oyster bar for oyster lovers, which I found added an extra touch of class to the restaurants atmosphere.
I was thrilled when I was given a blanket when the sun went down! The patio can get a bit chilly by the water's edge, and the staff comes out with bundles of blankets for their patrons. I would recommend trying the fresh seafood chowder which is a mixture of fresh seafood, cream, and clams.
There is also the upstairs area of Monk's that provides an excellent opportunity for a romantic evening. It is more formal, and upscale than the oyster bar and patio. They host many weddings and group events in this area, and there is no number limitation to a reservation.
