Grouse Mountain Ski Resort

Grouse Mountain Ski Resort is a top pick for Vancouver visitors and ski and snow lovers. Located at 6400 Nancy Greene Way in North Vancouver, this classy resort has alpine runs, night skiing, instruction, breathtaking views, and special events for all to enjoy. With five black diamond runs, two beginner trails and three blue trails, this resort covers every skill level.

Cypress Mountain

Located at 1700 Mount Seymour Road in North Vancouver has the longest vertical drop of 1,722 feet. During the 2010 Winter Olympics, Cypress Mountain will be home to the freestyle skiing and snowboarding events. Cypress Mountain has runs for expert, beginner and intermediate snowboarders and skiers.

If you want to enjoy some world-class skiing you can head just outside the city to Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort. Whistler is a well-known tourist location in British Columbia and people come from all over the world to attend their events and ski on the hills.

If you want to remain close to the city and perhaps want to go skiing before breakfast or late in the evening, then you can ski at the three popular ski resorts situated in the North Shore Mountains. These mountains will be the host to the 2010 Winter Olympics snowboard and freestyle events.

Mount Seymour Provincial Park

Located at 1700 Mount Seymour Road in North Vancouver, this popular ski hills has the highest elevation. Visitors can enjoy night and day skiing, as well as cross country trails, snowboarding, tobogganing and snowshoeing. This resort is popular with first time skiers, but anyone at any skill level can enjoy. In the winter, guests can try out the adult clinics and camps for teenagers and children. There is a massive rental shop which skiers can find the best equipment to suit their needs.
