Jubilate - October 27th, 2008
With a cast of scary (and some not-so-scary) witches, goblins and macabre characters, prepare to experience bone-rattling frets and frights this Halloween as Jubilate! Chamber Choir presents its second annual concert, “Songs in the Key of EEK!” As last year’s audience will affirm, the evening will provide a lightly-haunting backdrop of spooky music and lyrics to set the seasonal tone. Families are invited to attend, in costume if possible, on Monday October 27 at the Jericho Arts Centre ( 1675 Discovery Street , Vancouver ).

As the focus is on making a family night out, the choir has once again lowered ticket prices to $5 per child under 13. A 7:00 p.m. start time will accommodate the early-to-bed set. The choir also plans to continue its practice of contributing a portion of concert proceeds to worthwhile causes – in this case UNICEF and the world’s underprivileged children.

Tickets ($18 adults, $15 seniors/students, $5 children under 13 accompanied by an adult) can be purchased at the door. Street parking is free. www.jubilate.ca
