Some History on this Famous Resort and Spa
From 1886 to 1920, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa was first named the Saint Alice Hotel. Unfortunately it was destroyed by a fire.
From 1926 to 1949, the hotel became the Harrison Hot Springs Hotel and was run by Vancouver businessmen.
From 1943 to 1945, the hotel became a Convalescent Hospital for the Department of National Defense.
From 1949 to 1998, these companies called it The Harrison Hotel; United Distillers and Seagrams Corporation, Wosk's and the Itoman Corporation.
In 1998 the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa was created by the Oaktree Capital.
Currently the resort is owned and managed by Delaware North Parks and Resorts, a subsidiary of Delaware North Companies.
