  2. Keep Yourself on a Budget: Try to budget between $75 and $160 Canadian per night. One night in a middle class hotel in downtown Vancouver can even be pricy at time. The cheaper hotels are on the outskirts of the city and in the suburbs. Vancouver has many hotels, motels and B&B's, but they come with big dues after staying a few nights. Watch your wallet!

There are also hostels around if you are looking for a bargain, or if your stopping through. Downtown Vancouver is host to many hotels, motels, and B&B's. If you are planning on booking when the 2010 Olympic Winter Games are on, book a year in advance!

  4. Book Your Hotel in Advance: Rooms can get booked up fast during certain seasons in Vancouver. Make sure you book well in advance, so you can avoid dissapointment while making your travel plans. Most likely you will have to hold a hotel room with a credit card to reserve your booking long term. The luxury hotels will book up fast in the summer months, and close to special holidays.

  5. Be Prepared! Be prepared to spend a more on hotels, and other accommodations in Vancouver. The city of Vancouver has a really expensive real estate market and local shopping hits the credit card limits. The accommodation prices are amongst the highest in Canada. Take extra money with you as a back up plan. Your best bet is to check comparison sites. Even though the prices are a bit expensive, your new found love for Vancouver will help you recover.
