There are events, Irish pubs and a St.Patricks Day Parade every year. Did you know that St.Patrick’s Day began in the United States and not originally in Ireland? It’s true! This green day was created in 1762 when Irish soldiers marched throughout New York and found their Irish community. People from all over the globe now celebrate March 17th every year and attend fun celtic events, drink in Irish pubs, and watch the annual parade.

The parade in Vancouver will go from Georgia Street to Broughton Street to Howe Street and is held on March 15th from 11:30am. This will be the 6th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade held by CelticFest Vancouver and the city is expecting over 80 parade participants and 2,000 people this year.
