British Columbia, known as BC, is situated between the glorious Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Lanscapes are a very important feature of British Columbia along with its forestry, white-capped mountain tops and multicultural society. There are activities for everyone whether it is downhill skiing one moment and hiking in Stanley Park the next. British Columbia is made up of a variety of regions and cities.

You can be sitting on the beach one minute and climbing Grouse Mountain in Vancouver the next. There is snow in British Columbia, but it is one of the warmest provinces in Canada. Throughout the winter you can have mild days and crisp morning. The Pacific Ocean does not freeze like our East Coast and you can be outside most of the time as it never truly stays below O degrees. This province is known as one of the best places to live in Canada, and Vancouver is known as a top city in the world.

Thousands of tourists come to British Columbia each year to swim, ski, hike and visit the attractions. British Columbia offers tons of world class dinging, shopping, landmarks, art and scenic views.

BC Facts:

Population: 3,907,740
Capital City: Victoria
Most Western of Canada's Cities
The third largest populated province in Canada
History: BC was added to the Canadian Confederation in 1871
