Need a break from city travels? West Vancouver's Lighthouse Park feels far from Downtown, but is easily accessible by public transport (bus 250) and is only a 25-minute drive. The lush, waterfront park offers a mix of narrow trails, giant trees, historic WWII buildings, and the Point Atkinson Lighthouse.
The trails are well-mapped and sign-posted throughout the park (print a map before you head out) -- perfect if you tend to get lost or are new to the park. And there's enough terrain for a good two-hour walk in the woods.
